Hon'ble Jawantraoji Bhosale (Appasaheb) recognized the importance of quality education for the rural population, believing that education is a vital means to transform rural society. With this aspiration, he founded the Shetkari Shikshan Prasarak Mandal in 1962. The primary objective of this organization is to provide high-quality education to rural communities, particularly to the children of farmers, laborers, and residents of villages along the banks of the Krishna River, covering the Karad, Walwa, and Kadegaon tahsils.

Tarabai Madhavrao Mohite Vidyalaya in Rethare Bk., Krishna Mahavidyalaya in Shivnagar (both junior and senior sections), and Jaywant College of Engineering and Polytechnic in K.M.
